Diego Dávila Cabanillas (valencia)
His musical training begins at the School of Music "Maestro García Navarro" in Chiva (Valencia), and continues his studies at the Conservatory "San Rafael" in Buñol (Valencia) where he obtains the honorable mention in chamber music and the professional award in the specialty of saxophone.
In 2015 he accesses the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Salvador Seguí" de Castellón to continue his studies under the tutelage of Jose Luís Garrido Antequera. After finishing them, he decides to continue his pedagogical training by taking the Master's Degree in Teaching at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, where Banco Santander awarded her a 2nd Prize for his Master's Thesis at the UJI - Compromiso social Awards.
After that, he moved to The Hague (The Netherlands) where he studied the Master of Music in saxophone with Lars Niederstrasser at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. During his time in the Netherlands, he has the opportunity to give several concerts throughout the country with the reed quintet Pistache Rietkwintet, as well as to study with teachers specialized in baroque music, such as Lucia Swarts, Florencia Gómez, Daniel Brüggen, Enrico Gatti or Mieneke Van der Velten, among others.
Throughout his career, he has furthered his training with different saxophonists such as Arno Bornkamp, Juana Palop, Eva Van Grinsven, Raaf Hekkema, Nikita Zimin, Mariano García, Elisa Urrestarazu or Simon Diriq.
In addition, he has been awarded the 2nd prize of the "Ramón Guzmán" Competition held at the XVIII Encontro galego do saxofón 2022 and has collaborated with the Neue Philharmonie München in his project Bolero 2023.
He is currently in the Netherlands where he continues his training with Femke Ijstra at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen
